Program
SAM | MAU | architecture accompany THE KOOPLES during their expansion in Germany by realization the design phase for their two stores in Berlin (“Berlin Mitte” and “Kurfürstendamm) as well as the full scope of services for the store in Zweibrücken.
The design phase was accentuated by the communication and coordination with the monument protection service of the city of Berlin due to the fact that the Building is located in the listed area of the centre of Berlin.
The scope of services included amongst others:
- design of the interior fit-out based on the pure classical style of the brand, such as a white marble finishing of walls and flooring;
- integration of a white marble covered stair with glazed railings;
- realization of new facade signs, in coordination with the monument protection service of Berlin.
